“Go See Ambazonia! -2001 US Capitol Summit”

I have taken some time to throw some light on what is beneath the Go See Ambazonia phrase. It is unfortunate that the younger generations are not aware of Ambazonia being a State/Nation just because some of our very elders that know the truth about Ambazonia have refused to speak out -even those who were among the architects behind the wonderful idea that our sovereignty and independence was and is being tactically wipe out because of the identity Southern Cameroons. It is unbelievable that even our honorable Prof who is one of the two persons that typed the document that lead to the birth of Ambazonia indentity in 1985 cannot stand firm to defend his sweat when he was typing the New Social Order.
His own legal account for the struggle of our homeland to us the younger generation started with Albert Mukong’s UNHR verdict of 1994, Dinka 2005, Abuja 2003, ACHPR verdict on suite 266/2003 as recorded on ESTEEM TV website titled BSC FEED. The concern here for latecomers is what about the Dinka’s Military Tribunal Verdict that resulted in part, from that New Social Order that Prof. did type in 1985? Or what about the motion adopted by Yaounde parliament calling for a conference for the two countries (Ambazonia, Cameroon) to renegotiated the relationship as they did in Foumban following Dinka riots? What about the 1992 High Court of Bamenda (HCB28/92) Verdict that is seen in contemporary history as legal precedence that an annexed people has gotten her colonizer, in the colonizer own court to recognized her illegal occupation and annexation of homeland of the annexed people?
During the July 2001 Summit at US Capitol, our honorable Prof. is on record for saying that Ambazonia State’s attempt for a local remedy never went pass the filing stage. If our honorable Prof. who in 1985 helped typed the first public document that carried the name Ambazonia (being the new identity for the former State of Southern Cameroons) cannot speak out about the State of Ambazonia or to link or guide other groups that came in to the struggle later, with Ambazonian indentify, it is mind boggling. Prof. is not alone - there are others in our midst. My writing is not to accuse, or insult anyone but to let our elders and leaders know that the true should be spoken, and out loudly. They cannot keep being silence because we need to end this slavery under Cameroon.
Why the phrase GO SEE AMBAZONIA! When were they told to go see Ambazonia? Have they tried to talk to Ambazonia and Ambazonia has refused to enlighten them? Can they that proof that Ambazonia is not out to free our Homeland? Or what have they done? What have they done in their own pursued to link up with Republic of Ambazonia legal precedence? Is the law principle of legal precedence important in matters like this our struggle? Even when international legal bodies are kind and clear enough to advise them go and see Ambazonia – they will not accept that truth.
It is now a common thing since 2008 or so that the world is aware of diplomatic cable- thanks to wiki leaks. I hereby take this opportunity to let some people know that prior to 27th May 1994, the name Republic of Ambazonia replacing UN Trust Territory of British Southern Cameroons under United Kingdom Administration had been in diplomatic arena till date.
United State confidential cables (AFRICA BUREAU FRIDAY REPORT, 05/27/94 -Document Number: 1994STATE143697) in the Republic of Ambazonian archive amongst other country’s information carried the name AMBAZONIA as the name of our homeland. Many nations by then were waiting to hear the cry of the Ambazonian people over Bakassi -instead our people after being called by interim Ambazonian peers to unified under the Republic of Ambazonia, they refused and choose to hold on but to their death or extinct Southern Cameroons identity that works best in favor of our occupier (Cameroon).
It is worth noting that, this very 1994 diplomatic report on the State of Ambazonia was again taken up at United States Department of State for review --by John L. Mills in May 2003 (Ref: DATE/CASE ID: 31 MAR 2003 200201547) to find out if we are ready for help.

From the above you will see that important US embassies and consulates were on alert. Take note this is as far back as 1994. The messages contend is this diplomatic cable on page 4 read thus:

The "Republic of Ambazonia" is attempting to file an inter-pleader with the International Court of Justice on the Bakassi dispute, insisting any ICJ ruling must resolve the "Ambazonian" interest in the region as part of the current hearing. The Ambazonian claim to independence for the area including Bakassi stems from the separate UN trust territory for Southern Cameroon. The Ambazonians are seeking pro bono legal help in the US.

Baroness Lynda Chalker, British Minister for Overseas Development, told a/s Moose May 26 the British are more sympathetic to Cameroon on the Bakassi dispute. The British Embassy in Washington has been more blunt, bringing maps and other information to the Department to support their contention that Bakassi belongs to Cameroon.

Brethren, before we continue. Did you read the British stand point through her then Minister Baroness Lynda Chalker above? Is this not the same Britain that Fon Dinka (Ambazonian) had defeated them in her London High court thereby reasserting the Ambazonian Republic sovereign and independent status? Can anybody see with me that the British are still bent on frustrating us as they did around 1960/61 -by supporting Cameroon? Can the SCNC/SCAPO peers now see why proponents of Republic of Ambazonia have been crying out loud that, they should let go the cancer identity Southern Cameroons from being the point of focus but let it be a point of reference just as pro-Ambazonians have been doing since 1985? Even the British in their court were unable to beat Dinka and the Republic of Ambazonia. Our people, anything Southern Cameroons works well to the advantage of our occupier. The Republic of Ambazonia had been in diplomatic arena for long. Despite all efforts to stop it, it has instead grown strong and stronger.
The SCNC/SCAPO etc that came in to fold later ought to enjoy or tap from the LEGAL PRINCIPLE OF PRECEDENCE from pro-Ambazonia quicken our chances of being free. Instead they want to re-invent the wheel for us.
Brethren forget not that, as far back as 1990, interim pro-Ambazonians had registered at the UN Secretariat -Proclamation Formalizing: The Independence of the Republic of Ambazonia aka United Nations Trust Territory of the British Southern Cameroons under the United Kingdom Administration. This file among other things contain the flag, the Southern Cameroons Constitution Order-in-Council, Dinka’s Military Tribunal Verdict, the Plebiscite PACT signed between Cameroon and Ambazonia before their ill faith union etc
Forget not that on the 26th Jan. 1993 the interim Ambazonian Head of State in a letter (our Ref: AR/UNC4C/93/01) to the Chairman of the Fourth Committee of UN General Assembly demanding for the Restitution of the Human Rights of Self-determination of Republic of Ambazonia -being the native name of what used to be referred to as the United Nations Trust Territory of the British Southern Cameroon under the United Kingdom Administration. I still wait to hear someone proof me wrong that it was him and not pro-Ambazonia peers and their offensives that lead to the UN to present two maps to Biya last year; and the replanting of pillars around the Republic of Ambazonia by the UN survivors.
Forget not also that, in January 1993 the interim Ambazonian Head of State, reference RA/EU/93/01 recorded the name of our homeland as the Republic of Ambazonia in the matter Europe vs Cameroun: Resolution by the European Parliament Human Rights Enquiry following the October 1992 presidential election that Ni John Fru Ndi won but was denied power because he was a foreigner in Cameroon. Since then the Europeans have been waiting to hear the cry of a people called AMBAZONIAN to help them -because anything Southern Cameroons is Cameroon our occupier’s internal affair, yet our people keep singing the extinct name Southern Cameroons.
Even when some of our elders and leaders have been told go see Ambazonia; but we keep wasting time with the cancer name Southern Cameroons while the occupier keeps looting our homeland. Where was Southern Cameroons after 1st October 1961 till 29th April to 1st May 1994? --that the ALL ANGLOPHONE CONFERENCE meeting in its second session at Bamenda article (7) talked of the revival of the independence and sovereignty of Southern Cameroons. Many have been accusing proponent of the Republic of Ambazonia for doing it businesses from a sovereign and independence stand point by saying the UN never gave us independence. Some are even calling for the UN to appoint an administrator over Ambazonia. If there was no independence which independence was the Bamenda Proclamation to revive?
Also, far back as on 15th July 1995 the interim Ambazonia Head of State (Our Ref: UNSG/94/01) got the United Nations through it Secretary General to accept; and then transmitted the Republic of Ambazonian Interpleader Summons to the International Court of Justice at The Hague. This intervention was through the UN. It is because Republic of Ambazonia was already known within UN ranks since 1990. They (UN) were able to recognize the Republic of Ambazonia’s Inter-pleader over Bakassi dispute. Instead it is we the so called majority camp that cannot accept what works best for our struggle as an annexed people for over 48 years
We know that despite Cameroon and France’s efforts to use the ICJ to keep the Republic of Ambazonia out, it soon became cleared to Cameroon that she was not going to get the certificate she desperately needed to keep enjoying the booties she has been looting our homeland in total peace. Thanks to Republic of Ambazonia diligent and sustain efforts to monitor Cameroon fraud and manipulation of the cancer name Southern Cameroons at the ICJ proceedings that, she was able to expose the ICJ verdict that leads to the handover of Bakassi being done but on Nigerian soil. The UN soon followed up by getting Biya to sign Annan-Bakassi Peace Accord by which Biya accepted to respect the territorial boundaries Cameroon as obtain at independence 1st January 1960 with the state of Ambazonia.
Again in 2001, our respectable A.N.T Mbu the then Legal Adviser of the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC) Executive led his delegation to visit the Nigerian Diplomatic Mission in the U.S.A. The Nigerian Ambassador Professor Jibril Muhammad AMINU asked this delegation if they knew the Republic of Ambazonia and Fon Gorji-Dinka. They all responded in the affirmative. He then demanded from them whether or not he (Fon Gorji-Dinka) was the leader of the emancipation struggle and to this they replied again in the affirmative. The question here is what has the SCNC done to work in collaboration with Ambazonian identity that is already recognized by foreigner? All they want is that the Ambazonian identity should be buried, in order to take on the cancer name Southern Cameroons that works to the advantage of our occupier.
Are the above few Republic of Ambazonian Archives materials not enough to shed lights on why they were told to go see Ambazonia? The Republic of Ambazonia’s legal stand point has been the best to set us free. But our latecomers are dragging or delaying our freedom by sticking but to good ideas that are marred by three factors: 1) Ignorantly or willful failure and refusal to acknowledge and accept Republic of Ambazonia legal precedence; 2) the use of the cancer identity Southern Cameroons as a focus and not as a historical reference point; and 3) the fractionalization within their ranks of the so called majority camp. Why can some of our elders and leaders not accept what works best in order to shorten our suffering time under this evil of annexation?
We have honorable Kevin, Mola and other on record for acknowledging the fact that holding on to the cancer identty British Southern Cameroons is affecting our struggle negatively. Also in a SCAPO letter to the then UN SG (Kofi Annan) dated 1st October 2002 page 5 quote - Secondly we have decided that the time has come to give a new name to the territory of the Southern Cameroons. Up to now, we have maintained the name “Southern Cameroons” because that is the name by which our territory was known under United Nations Trusteeship for 46 years. Come on our people. If so, what has happened since that 2002? Why are we, still rock band to Southern Cameroons identity? Is it not because they just don’t want to accept the Republic of Ambazonia precedence? Something they had rejected in that past but come to see it being corner stone of the struggle. Our leaders and elites this is a matter that concerns millions of people suffering. Please, repent and safe our people especially the young generation.
The concern (from the quote above) is, if you know and accept that it is time for name change for which I strongly guess it is because the name is affecting our struggle. Why not take the Republic of Ambazonia precedence? Even when some have been advised to Go See Ambazonia? The above SCAPO quote of 2002 is coming more than 10 years after the Republic of Ambazonia filed the -Proclamation Formalizing The Independence of the Republic of Ambazonia aka United Nations Trust Territory of the British Southern Cameroons under the United Kingdom Administration in 1990; which is more than 20 years after the New Social Order went public with the identity Ambazonia in it 1985 début; then in the Military Tribunal Verdict and then HCB/28/92 Verdict; the London High Court verdict and on! And on!
When people like Ofege as recently as on Saturday, 8 January, 2011 in a mail to Teacher T said quote -Listen, the place is called Southern Sudan until it gets renamed AFTER independence. So it is with Southern Cameroons. “One only begins to wonder how far we still have to go or how long we still have wait to identify the true or to recognize what works best and to accept it.
Ofege Ntemfac in a mail on Ambasbay, Sat, December 18, 2010 quote: 2. I deal with facts not fiction and daydreams. FACT. The Banjul Ruling was issued to SCAPO-SCNC on behalf of Southern Cameroons and not to the non-existent Ambazonia. The reason is obvious. You CANNOT fault me for quoting that judgment and you cannot wish Ambazonia into that judgment. I will say wise man go ahead. Let the dead bury the dead. Is that fare enough? If truly Cameroon meant it that, it will not go for the ACHPR Talks, we are left with untested idea by our integrationists that the ACHPR will then refer the matter to the UN. Until then we have to keep waiting not so? And even that is done I am sure that they will still meet the Republic of Ambazonia that had already been at the UN since 1990 till date as usual. What is making it so hard for our learned comrades to understand that the Republic of Ambazonia is a state and not a movement owned by an individual?
Also, in a mail on ambasbay of December 18, 2010 Peter Teforlack in support of Ofege said the following against Edwin Ngang quote: “Those who are still using [the Republic of] Ambazonia are propagandists and propaganda has no place in our struggle for independence at this moment. A lot of people including Edwin Ngang do not know why the use of [Republic of ] Ambazonia is so detrimental to the struggle in many ways.” My question to Peter is how detrimental is it? Is it because you came into the fold later that you will want to be a denier of precedence? Mind you, CAM had said such things far back in 1993. Ofege says Ambazonia is made of 4 people as stated below. Peter so, only 4 persons are giving the majority sleepless nights? This assertion now makes me better appreciate the words of on French philosopher who wrote: it is dangerous to have three learned men on the street that having thousands of illiterate men. I hope one will not take this as insult. I did not mean to! Okay?
Ofege, I have not finished yet, in your Message #32281 on Fri Dec 24, 2010 on ambasos forum you had this to say [Baffling: People, do you know any other members of Ambazonia beyond Comrades Edwin Ngang, E. Nchotu, Teacher T and, of course Fon Gorji Dinka? Do you know any in the territory? No.. seriously. I stand to be corrected. Why then would a vociferous few insult everybody, disrespect leaders with tangible action programs like Mola Njoh and Chief Taku, attempt to block workable pathways.]
Comrade Ofege, I am not out to correct you as I have prayed above because I am not worth doing so. I just wish to remind you that, those who have read big book will say that in European war history it is recorded that the present of Napoleon Bonaparte alone on a battle field was equivalent to 10,000 ordinary army men. So, in like manner the presence of E. Nchotu alone from your state 4 man Ambazonian camp in this struggle is worth thousands of those in that your camp of majority. Then factor in the other three persons and multiply their worth. Comrade Ofege, in fact you are on records for stating that therewere some intelligent Ambazonians at the Buea Mount Mary 1993 conference saying that the conference be transformed into a constituent assembly and that they were right. My question to you is this -were those intelligent Ambazonians you saw at that Buea conference the four persons you have named above as constituting what you insinuate as 4man-Ambazonia? -- or they were different people? Mate can you please grow up. Fight hard to get or stand for the relative best idea from a pool of ideas. You want to see numbers before you believe? Hahaha . Again Ambazonia is the pre-occupation (if you like it that way) name and identity of a state and not a movement like SCNC, SCAPO,SCYL etc.
Ofege, you being a biblical prophet (if I should say) will advise us that in God’s liberation principle of his people, it is not based on majority or capabilities of many, but on few persons that make themselves available for God to use them. The Israelite stated democracy when they had reached the promise land, and not during the 40 years war time prior to their entry into the Promised Land. I am sure you are in a better position to tell us what happened to those attempted to bring democracy during the 40 years in the wilderness. Please do not misconstrue me here. I am not against democracy and so too any pro-Ambazonian peers. We are at war (liberation war) now, let’s respect the war-time rules first. Hasn’t our Bible talk of time for everything? I don’t know what the Koran says if at all it does.
Come on mate! Grow up! Do you know that Mola was among the delegation of 9 that went to the UN in 1995 and on their return bought a UN flag from the boutique for our people? Has he told us why he is not a front runner of any SCNC faction? Or why they refused to sign the Ambazonia-SCNC joint agreement to work as one in London in 1995? Yes, Chief Taku is on record for stated how they organized the Dinka riots but he too has not tell us where or how Dinka had failed them (if at all) for sustaining the riots. Chief was recently asked if he is willing to do it again as he said he did in the past -what did he say? I hope you don’t want me to go personal on honorable elders. Yes, we all want positive action plan but beware of motive of each planner. That is what is important, isn’t it?
In fact my concern was to state a point which is; why anyone seriously for our freedom from Cameroon will be asked to Go See Ambazonia. The Republic of Ambazonia has set an excellent legal precedence, and in good faith has been calling on brethren to join hand for us to finish the job. From above what one can see is that the Republic of Ambazonia has set precedence. Of course precedence that is best relative to other ideas.
Comrade Ofege and Peter Teforlack keep on with your Bimbia and Southern Cameroons name. Say not in the future that pro-Ambazonians did not advice you that, the identity Republic of Ambazonia has entered diplomatic and international arena long ago as stated in the references above.
It is all of us that are suffering. Let’s look back for a moment. If Dr. Fonlon had read the New Social Order in 1985 as planned, Dr Endeley who was to talk after him would have walked our people out of the congress thereby we gaining our rights back. Was that not what happened, when our people were still in Nigeria Eastern House of parliament? Walk out -no gunshot -no fight, no blood spill. If the elites had sustained the outcome of the Dinka’s riots in the 80s, our story would have been different since then. If there was sustained effort after the Dinka’s Military Tribunal Verdict, our story would have been different since then. If the AAC I had transformed in to a Constituent Assembly in 1993, our story would have been different. If the SDF leaders who were founding members to the idea that lead to the Republic of Ambazonia had stopped our MPs from going to Yaounde as advised by pro-Ambazonian peers our story would have been different by now. If our people that took on Abuja High Court had listen to the advice of pro-Ambazonian peers -who knows where we would have been.
For years now Ambazonia has been saying let embark on law enforcement who knows. For a year now Ambazonia has advised our peers with Communication 337/2007 at the ACHPR to reset the file to focus on the identity of Ambazonia while holding on to Southern Cameroon as a historical reference point so that they will take advantage of the Republic of Ambazonia’s legal precedence like the HCB /28/92, the Military Tribunal Verdict, the Republic of Ambazonian 1990 registration at the UN, the Dinka UNHCR 2005 (that acknowledges the Subjugations of Ambazonians by Franco-Cameroon Army), Dinka’s London High Court verdict, and to wake-up the Republic of Ambazonia’s skeleton that is sleeping in silence in diplomatic embassies all over the world. By doing so, we will be free sooner. But if you decide to embark on re-inventing the wheel, it will be all of us suffering.
Ofege, you talked of being at ground zero with people that have action plans, please, for the God sake let your actions plan do away with the name Southern Cameroons as the focus. You will have no legal precedence in Cameroon court to favor us. Example, SCYL in 1997 ended up with conviction; Nfor, Ayamba, and others with Manfe incident ended with conviction. Adopting the Ambazonian identity will spare the active comrades length prison sentencing should in case. Remember what happened to our 1997 SCYL comrades when they were betrayed by one of our suppose leader. Did I hear someone say operation go to Buea in 2011 is on the way? Good and fine. Make no error again as we move on, and remember they were once told to Go See Ambazonia! ie THE REPUBLIC OF AMBAZONIA –it is a state for you and me, and is not one man’s property and it is not a movement; it is not a pressure group either.
